Our Values

I believe
Crossroads Evangelical Church is a special place, made up of special people who have been called together by God to accomplish his special purpose. Examine our Mandate, Mission, Vision and Core Commitments. They will give you a good idea of who we are and what we are all about.

Our Mandate

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20

To help searching people discover and develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Crossroads Evangelical Church is committed to reaching out to our communities with the gospel of Christ through aggressive personal interaction and need centered programming; while providing a variety of worship experiences as well as opportunities for learning, fellowship, and service.

Our Core Commitments

  1. The Bible is our final authority in life, therefore: Anointed teaching of God's word will be the catalyst for change and growth. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 12:2.
  2. The Church is the primary instrument God has chosen to accomplish his plan, therefore: We are committed to the ministry of our local church. Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 1:8.
  3. Vision for ministry is a gift from God, therefore: We will be a vision driven Church. Acts 9:1-16; Acts 16:6-10.
  4. God has called us to impact our world for Jesus Christ, therefore: We will be a Church that makes a difference. Matthew 5:14-16; Matthew 28:18-20.
  5. God intends us to be a biblically functioning community, therefore: We will come together in larger groups for celebration and worship, and in small groups for discipleship and personal growth. Acts 2:42-47.
  6. God calls us to love others as he loved us, therefore: We will be intensely devoted to loving one another. John 13:34, 35; I John 4:7-12.
  7. Lost people matter to God, therefore: We will be passionately devoted to reaching the lost. Luke 5:30-32; Luke 19:10.
  8. The pursuit of Christian maturity is essential, not optional, therefore: We will call each Christian to be conformed to Christlikeness. Ephesians 4:11-16; Romans 8:29.
  9. Every Christian is a minister, therefore: We will all use our God given gifts and abilities to serve the body of Christ. Romans 12:4-8; I Corinthians 12.
  10. Leaders are one of God's gifts to his church, therefore: We will trust our leaders and our leaders will be worthy of trust. Ephesians 4:11, 12; I Timothy 5:17-20; I Corinthians 4:1-2.
  11. Stewardship is a sacred trust, therefore: We will be wise and faithful managers of all God has trusted to our care. I Corinthians 4:2; Matthew 25:14-30.
  12. Serving God energizes people and advances the kingdom, therefore: We will structure so that people will be freed up for maximal ministry. I Corinthians 15:58; Romans 12:4-8.
  13. We are called to maintain both biblical truth and cultural relevancy, therefore: We will be uncompromising in our message yet flexible in our methods. I Corinthians 9:19-23; Acts 15:1-21.
  14. We believe excellence honors God and inspires people, therefore: We will pursue excellence in all we do. Malachi 1:6-14; Colossians 3:17.
